Sam Frydman is Professor and the Head of the Geotechnology and Mineral Engineering at Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel. He teaches, or oversees the teaching of, engineering geology, geomechanics, soil engineering and foundations, stability of retaining walls and slopes, and soil mechanics laboratory. Dr. Frydman's research interests include constitutive behaviour of soils, geotechnical earthquake engineering, behaviour of piles, slope stability, reinforced soil, behaviour of unsaturated, swelling and collapsing soils, and rock mechanics.
