Sixty-two axial compression tests were performed on full-scale jacked open-ended piles with different diameters at several lengths. The results of these tests have been analyzed, for piles of different diameter and length. The measured bearing capacities are compared with those predicted by the American Petroleum Institute. Analysis of pile load tests showed that the shaft friction increased with pile length. It has also been shown that no movement of the soil plug was recorded during static load tests at penetration lengths greater than two-pile diameter.
