ABSTRACT

A multi-parameter on-line monitoring test system of landfill pollutants transport in complex condition has been developed independently, which consists of five parts: Pressure Soil Column, Rainfall Soil Column, Temperature Control Soil Column, Natural Soil Column and Automatic Data Acquisition System. It could provide real time on-line monitoring of dynamic characteristics of migration of gas and leachate within landfill. Based on the test study of the production regularity of waste internal sources water in the different initial inherent moisture content and different environmental state, the reliability and practicability of the test system are proved. The insufficient test data, especially integrated and comprehensive test data, restrict the solid-liquid-gas phase coupling effect of landfill and the theoretical system development of multi-field coupling, and cause the limitation of the waste resource recovery. To make up the above mentioned lacking, this monitoring test system can more scientifically and practically reveal the mechanism of migration and transformation of gas and leachate in Geo-environmental system under complicated surroundings. It also can achieve scientific test and monitoring platform for resource recovery of landfill gas, ecological restoration of leachate, as well as for the assessment of environmental impact of landfill.
