Inversion Analysis on Critical Moisture and Flow Velocity Formula of Debris Flow Based on Physical Simulation Test

ABSTRACT

In the 21st century, not only the occurrence frequency but also harmful levels of debris flows had increased significantly, and it had caused huge losses to people's lives and property, so it was necessary to study the critical moisture for launch and flow velocity of debris flow, and physics simulation is an effective way for this. Taking Zhangjiagou debris flow as an example, the similar physical simulation test platform was established,4 tests with different moisture rate were carried to inverse critical moisture and the velocity calculation formula of the debris flow combining with the actual monitoring results. The research results provide a scientific basis to forecast the launch and hazard scope of debris flow under different rainfall.
