 ABSTRACT

CO2 flooding coal bed methane (CBM) not only stores the CO2 underground and reduces greenhouse gas emission, but also enhances gas production ratio. It is a coupling process of multiphase fluid flow and coal-rock deformation, which involves gas competitive adsorption, diffusion from coal matrix to fractures. In this paper, depressurization and CBM was simulated with considering multiple physical processes, the impact of CO2 injection on permeability was researched as well as the daily gas production and final gas recovery. Our research may provide theoretical guidance for the found of production scheme in CO2 flooding coal bed methane.
