Analysis of Zonal Disintegration Mechanism of Surrounding Rock Mass Based on Nonlinear Dynamics Evolution Models and Failure Criterions

 ABSTRACT

Zonal disintegration mechanism of surrounding rock mass is one of the hot and difficult issues in the field of rock mechanics and engineering. This paper aims to investigate the mechanism of zonal disintegration of surrounding rock mass, based on nonlinear dynamics evolution model, energy evolution model and unstable failure criterion. Also, the non-linear dynamic condition for the occurrence of zonal disintegration of surrounding rock mass is proposed. According to the consistency of two nonlinear evolution models, the quantitative expression for the determination of the thickness and radius of zone disintegration of surrounding rock mass is put forward. Two methods for calculating the formation time of zone disintegration are established. This study has elaborated the mechanism of zonal disintegration of surrounding rock mass and meanwhile two models and criterions are validated as well. The results are of great significance for quantitative analysis of the mechanism.
