Correlation of Mechanical Indices of Soft Soils in Yangcheng Lake Area of Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway

 ABSTRACT

Based on a large number of geotechnical tests, data for undisturbed samples in Yangcheng Lake, the physical indices, mechanical indices and the correlation between physical and mechanical indices in this area are analyzed with such mathematical statistics methods as the least-square principle and the regression analysis adopted. The results show that soft soilís physical indices in this area have a certain kind of linear relationship. Compression coefficient and compression modulus present a very good exponential function relationship in mechanical indices. A certain kind of exponential function relationship or power function relationship is showed between physical indices and mechanical indices.
