Analysis on Surrounding Rock Massesí Stabilities for Underground Cavern Group of Mongolia Hydropower Station

Initial geo-stress field distribution of Mongolia hydropower station was researched using FLAC3D, initial geo-stress inversion, surrounding rock massesí stabilities of cavities, crane beamís stabilities were studied. Results show that, the inversion values of geo-stress are in line with the measured values, the lateral pressure coefficient which is vertical to the axis of the workshop is about 1.1, and the value parallel to the axis of the workshop is about 0.9; the overall stability of surrounding rock is the most effective when the bolt spacing is 1.5 m; boltís axial force of crane beam is caused mainly by excavation, while the parts caused by wheel pressure is small. This offers a reliable basis for the layout and supporting design for underground cavern group.
