Prediction for Foundation Settlement of High-Speed Railway Based on GM(1,1) Model

 ABSTRACT

It established GM (1,1) model for the foundation settlement data of one high-speed railway in Hefei area during the construction phase. The later settlement at the depth of 4m, 10m, 16m in loading period, settlement at the depth of 4m in static load period and the total settlement on the surface of foundation were predicted based on the model. Then, the predicted values and field monitoring datas were compared. The results showed that the method was proved to be efficient and accurate under standard qualification evaluation. The difference between predicted values and field monitored values was no more than 2mm and the maximum relative error is no more than 6%, which indicated that the model could be used for later settlement prediction of similar high-speed railway.
