 ABSTRACT

Debris flows is one of the most serious geological disasters in our country, and pre-disaster risk assessment that should be carried out effectively is an important guarantee for the safety of life and property. This paper proposes to conduct debris flow risk assessment using GIS based on the analysis of the lack of traditional debris flow risk assessment. Taking Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province as the study area and DEM, remote sensing images and other information as basic information, this article aims to explore of GIS in the application of risk assessment of debris flow method, launching hazard and vulnerability Assessment, index classification and assignment, space calculation and overlay analysis.
