 ABSTRACT

Long-term stability of rock salt gas storage is related to safety evaluation of rock salt gas storage . Based on WIIPP creep model, the Time dependent deformation of rock salt gas storage cavern is studied. Some preliminary conclusions are obtained as follows:(1) uncoordinated deformation in rock salt gas storage cavern exists between interlayer creep deformation and that of salt rock layer.(2) internal pressure affect on time dependent deformation of rock salt gas storage cavern is not subject to internal gas pressure. The lower the pressure, the larger convergent deformation of cavern is and ratio of convergence is nonlinear. And at early stage, bulk decreases evidently then gradually becomes steady.
