Affendi Abdullah is presently the head of geotechnical division of Ranhill Consulting Sdn. Bhd., one of the largest consulting companies involved in large infrastructure and civil engineering projects in Malaysia. He obtained his B.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, M. Eng. in Geotechnical Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, and PhD from the University of Malaya. He is a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia, and member of the South East Asian Geotechnical Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering.
