Taner Aydogmuş is Research Assistant at the Geotechnical Institute, TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Freiberg (Saxony), Germany. He obtained his Dipl.-Ing. (civil engineer) degree at Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Wuppertal (BUGH Wuppertal), Germany, in 2000. He teaches Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering and Geosynthetics. His research interests include Soil Mechanical Behavior, Geosynthetics, Soil-structure Interaction (especially Geosynthetics-Soil), Soil Stabilisation, and Numerical Methods in Geotechnical Engineering.

He is a member of German Geotechnical Society (DGGT - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Geotechnik), International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) and German IGS Chapter.
