Dr. Ioannis Grammatikopoulos is an assistant professor at the Laboratory of Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering Division, Department of Civil Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.

His area of research work includes: laboratory testing of soils; field testing and characterization; methods for improving the properties of problematic soils. He has forty publications in various National and International Journals and Conference Proceedings.

His area of teaching includes: Soil Mechanics; Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering; deep foundations and Tunneling and Underground Constructions.
