Tim Spink is an engineering geologist with 20 years experience of site investigation and geotechnical engineering. He has a particular interest in periglacial processes and in the description of soils and rocks for engineering purposes. Tim has worked for the UK's largest specialist geotechnical contractor, and is currently employed within the Foundations and Geotechnics Division of Mott MacDonald, one of the UK's largest engineering consultants.
In recent years he has developed an interest in software for handling large geotechnical data sets. He serves on the Association of Geotechnical Specialists sub-committee that has defined a standard geotechnical data interchange format.
