FACULTY POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN
Environmental/ Hydraulics Engineering
Applicants will be considered who have expertise in either of these four areas or expertise at the interfaces of these and/or other subdisciplines of civil engineering, including newly emerging areas.
Purdue is a land-grant university with approximately 36,000 students on its main campus in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Civil Engineering faculty in the professorial ranks consists of 61 members with a full range of expertise and interests. The program has 750 undergraduate students in the upper three years of the curriculum and 300 graduate students. Over 140 graduate students are pursuing the Ph.D. degree. Library, laboratory and computing facilities are excellent.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in civil engineering or closely related field is required. Strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate level teaching and advising and to a strong, externally funded research program is a must.
Application deadline: February 15, 1997 or until positions are filled. The four positions are expected to commence on August 15, 1997.
