Graduate Research Assistantship
at University of Nevada, Las VegasA Graduate Research Assistantship has become available, effective Spring semester (January, 1997), at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. This position could support a M.S. or Ph.D. candidate interested in geotechnical earthquake engineering. The research involves development of seismic design criteria for caps of low-level radioactive waste landfills in an arid region. The work is funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Energy. Student support includes a 12-month stipend and full tuition.
