Research Assistantships in Hawaii

DESCRIPTION: Full support is available in the form of graduate research assistantships for studies leading to the M.S. or the Ph.D. degree in civil engineering in the area of geotechnics. These assistantships are in support of funded research on tropical and calcareous soils. Assistantships include a tuition waver, a stipend, and full medical benefits.

REQUIREMENTS: A degree in civil engineering or closely related field from an accredited institution, a minimum GPA of 3.0, good communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate basic technical skills ( i.e. how to work with computers, hardware, tools, materials), initiative, and the ability to work independently.
