Available Geotechnical Positions at:University of Michigan[Posted: 98/12/01] The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Michigan invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Geotechnical Engineering. The position requires a strong background in two or more of the following specialty areas: soil properties, stability of earth masses, numerical methods, soil & site improvement, constitutive equations, soil dynamics, or geotextiles. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Geotechnical Engineering and for developing a research program in his or her area of specialization. The successful candidate is expected to interact with faculty in related disciplines and with the professional community.
