Assistant Superintendent

A great opportunity for a qualified candidate to be involved in a 6-year/$10 million monitoring contract on the Central Artery/Tunnel Project. The assistant superintendent is responsible for managing the daily monitoring program which includes supervision and scheduling work for 10-15 field technicians; trouble shooting/solving technical problems; tracking of equipment performance and needs; developing and improving our training program for new technicians. The position also requires daily interaction with construction contractors and project field engineers, and attendance at periodic meetings with field engineers and our clients for contract and performance issues and data interpretation.

Qualified candidates should have a 4 year degree in engineering or related field (e.g. geology, engineering geology, environmental) and 2+ years of experience in geotechnics or construction with two years involving instrumentation and monitoring; education may be considered in lieu of experience.
